02 / CRITERIA
Five assessment areas
We consider build quality and materials, functionality, comfort in use, cleaning and maintenance, and value for money. If an area cannot be assessed meaningfully, we say so.
03 / SCORING
What 0–10 means
0–2: serious shortcomings; 3–4: below average; 5–6: acceptable with reservations; 7–8: very good; 9–10: exceptional. The overall rating is an editorial judgement, not an automatic average of the five areas.
04 / DISCLOSURE
How we obtained the product
Every new review will state whether the product was purchased, borrowed or supplied by a manufacturer or retailer. Any collaboration or compensation will be disclosed. Receiving a product does not guarantee a positive review.
05 / FORMAT
What a review includes
Key specifications, scope of testing, original photos, strengths and limitations, maintenance, a verdict, and publication or update date. Safety notes do not replace the manufacturer’s instructions.
